The District sells/rents conservation products to landowners which generates funds for furthering conservation education.  Such as Barrier, Grass Seed, Seed Drill Rental,  and Mosquito Larvicide.

Fabric Mulch Rolls are an easy way to control weeds and conserve soil moisture in tree and shrub row plantings.  These rolls are 6 foot by 300 foot and makes plantings virtually maintenance free!  It can be used in landscapes and vegetable gardens too!

Text Box:  The District sells native and introduced grasses as well as Wildflower seed.  Both Native and Introduced grasses have their good and bad characteristics.  We have a variety of mixes from pasture grasses to turf grasses that are recommended for the various Douglas County soils and elevations.

Text Box: We have a Truax No-till seed drill that we rent out to Douglas County landowners.  It takes a 40HP tractor or higher to pull the drill.  It runs about 3,400 lbs.  Please see more details about the drill and call the office with any questions.  Planting times are between Nov. 1 and May 1.

These mosquito larvae dunks come 20 to a card and one dunk will cover 100 square feet of surface water for approximately 21 days.  They are compressed cakes containing Bti (Bacillus Thuringiensis) which affects the digestive tract of the larvae.

 These granules come in a 40# bag which can be applied along the fringes of pools, ponds, creeks,    or any other body of standing water.   A single 40 pound bag covers a 660-foot stretch around the body of water.
