The Douglas County Conservation District Board of Supervisors is comprised of seven volunteers owning property in Douglas County and are passionate about conserving our natural resources. Board members are term limited to serve for a maximum of 2- four year terms.

The Douglas County Conservation District Board of Supervisors currently does not have a vacancy, but, if you are interested in being part of an exciting board that is making a difference in Douglas County, you could send your letter of intent to: The Douglas County Conservation District ,P.O. Scott McHenry - President Scott lives with his wife and their three daughters just south of Castle Rock. They have lived in the area for 18 years now. He and his family enjoy raising Llamas and Ponies. Scott has been involved with Douglas County 4-H for many years. Currently Scott is the Assistant Superintendent at the Golf Club at Flying Horse in Colorado Springs. |

Gary Boynton – Vice-President Gary is a single, retired, gentleman who collects antique & 50’s cars. He lives in a round house on 80 acres and runs around 35 head of cattle on his property. Gary's background is in produce and floral, garden and nursery products, and management. His hobbies include flying, water and snow skiing, traveling, and driving his “old junk around”. |

Mark Moore - Secretary Mark is a second generation Colorado native who lives with his wife Teri, and their two sons. The family ranch where they reside was purchased by his grandfather in 1950. The Moore's raise Percheron Draft horses, saddle horses, cattle and chickens. Mark is also owner and manager of “Stablemaster Products”, a parker based company that manufactures custom horse stalls and stable products.

Ranbir Chawla - Treasurer Ranbir lives on 35 acres in Castle Rock with his wife Naomi and Daughter Marissa. Ranbir and his wife have worked hard to implement many conservation practices on their property such as, cross fencing for proper grazing management controlling knapweed and Canada thistle using Integrated Pest Management , sheep and chemicals and constructing wildlife friendly fencing.

Johanna Harden - Member Colorado has been Johanna's home for 47 years. She moved to Douglas County in 1984. Currently, Johanna is a full-time archivist with the Douglas County History Research Center in the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock. She continues as a Douglas County Master Gardener (currently taking a leave of absence), and enjoys the rewards of helping others to garden. Johanna likes to read non-fiction natural history and western history literature. Both of these combine her personal and professional sides. Just for fun she enjoys a good mystery.

Dave Dirkse - Member Dave has lived in Douglas County since early 1984 with his wife Lynda and their two daughters. Dave retired in 1999 and since that time, he has continued to do consulting work and he actively participates in the operations of a family alfalfa and wheat farm in Elbert County. Dave says, “Farming has been a wonderful education and I enjoy it very much.” |

Pam Brewster – District Administrator Pam is a Colorado native, and was raised in Englewood. Family, friends, gardening, hiking, camping, and music are what she enjoys most in her life. For Fourteen years she has called Elizabeth, CO her home. Conservation means a lot to her. “Conserving our natural resources is very important and we all need to understand the urgency of conservation. I really am glad to be part of the Douglas County Conservation District; this way I (in my own small way) can help the county learn more about conserving our precious natural resources.” |

Michael Swanson - Member Michael is the district’s newest board member. He was sworn in as a board member on June 25th. Michael is a Douglas County landowner raising Alpacas. He will be an asset to the district board and to the county. WELCOME ABOARD MICHAEL! |
